Claire Cai is a Chinese filmmaker, who got her master's degree in Documentary Filmmaking at Dodge College, Chapman University. She has always been a fan of documentaries since she was a child. When she graduated from Communication University of China, she decided to leave her country and started chasing her dream for the documentary.
    Her latest film, Spraying under the Stars, following two graffiti artists using art as an activism communication vehicle to speak out on social issues including education and feminism, has been accepted into Chagrin Documentary Film Festival and two other festivals. Another documentary she made, Group, shows how men try to find peace and recognition while going through a state-mandated Batterers Intervention Program, won Vimeo Staff Pick Award,and has been screened at Newport Beach Film festival and will be screened at New Orleans Film Festival in October.
    Claire is dedicated to making videos and documentaries related to wildlife and social issues, such as animal protection and women's rights. She is now working as a freelance video editor and cinematographer.
